Meeting Notes: April 7

Meeting Notes from ‘Highlights and Happy Hour’

Thank you to all who made this special meeting into a great event, with over 50 neighbors and business owners in attendance! The meeting was followed by networking, food and a wine tasting provided by Maximum Beverage.

Thank you to all our sponsors, including Big Y, Bertucci’s, EDENS, Maximum Beverage, The Crown Market, Walmart and the West Hartford Senior Center!

Here are the notes from the BCNA’s “Highlights and Happy Hour” meeting on April 7, 2015, from 6-8PM:

Town Project Updates

  • Tom Hickey from we-ha.com and West Hartford Magazine unveiled the new BCNA logo(see attached). Thanks to Tom and everyone at West Hartford Media for their creative work in designing our new logo!
  • Mark McGovern gave an overview on various topics including a development update, CT Fastrak (there’s a loop bus that goes from the Flatbush station, travels up Main Street through Bishops Corner and ends at Copaco in Bloomfield). There’s no real movement on the UCONN property – the town will have first right of refusal once the state decides it does not want the property. If the town does not purchase it, it has the ability to change zoning for the property.
