Accomplishments of the BCNA

The Bishops Corner Neighborhood Association (BCNA) is comprised of residents, businesses and nonprofits who advocate for the Bishops Corner Neighborhood of West Hartford. The BCNA proudly sponsors events in Bishops Corner, such as the the Farmers’ Market in the Crown Market parking lot and Poetry on the Patio next to Blue Plate Kitchen. Through the hard work of our committees, we have also met with state and town officials to improve walkability and established a location for nonprofits to hang a banner to promote events.

We have supported our community by:

  • Organizing Poetry Nights on the Patio
  • Sponsoring the Bishops Corner Farmers’ Market
  • Working with the town of West Hartford to install pedestrian safety signage
  • Meeting with developers to make recommendations to projects slated for Bishops Corner
  • Establishing a location for non-profits to hang banners and promote events
  • Working with town and state officials regarding the Albany Ave and North Main Street intersection
